Know everything about the fixed gap magnetic coupling and its advantages

In a majority of the designs of much industrial equipment, moving parts are generally connected mechanically to one another. But for a majority of torque-transfer applications, it is always an ideal condition if the two shafts do not meet physically. This proves to be specifically true in wet, high-pressure, or other rough working environments. Magnetic coupling usually provides an invaluable alternative since it transfers the torque through a magnetic field rather than physical contact.

The most widely used magnetic core material is divided in usually two parts. One of them is a ferromagnetic metal such as iron and the other one is a ferrimagnetic compound such as ferrites. The greater permeability to the surrounding air relatively generally causes the magnetic field lines to be reduced to the magnetic core itself.

For example,Ceramic ferrite magnets are usually made by mixing greater proportions of iron oxide blended with fewer proportions of one or more extra metallic elements like barium, manganese, nickel, and zinc.
